G1000 ADVANCED

The G1000 can make your life VERY easy in the IFR environment, but without knowledge and experience with this flight deck, it can be downright dangerous.  This teaches the pilot how to use this equipment safely and efficiently in the IFR environment.  Emergency Procedures, GPS procedures, MFD uses, Single Pilot IFR use, G1000 as CRM, and partial panel operations will be covered.  This is a practical approach to the use of the G1000.  It is recommended that the student completes GPS FOR IFR ADVANCED and the G1000 BASIC module.  The course includes 4 hours of ground training and 4 hours of training in the Redbird FMX full motion simulator.
