In July 2010, Safety In Motion Flight Center officially opened for business to bring quality and experienced flight training to the Pacific Northwest. SIM Flight Center is based around the Redbird FMX – a brand new, cutting edge, full motion flight simulator, that is a very safe, efficient, and inexpensive way to train new and current pilots. SIM Flight Center’s Redbird FMX is one of only two in the state of Washington; and it is the only one open to the general public. Our mission is to specialize in helping pilots learn the avionics and complex systems in their current aircraft (which is a missing component in flight training around this area). SIM Flight Center is trying to fill in the gaps where all other flight schools fall short. We are offering the flying community an opportunity not just to learn to fly; but, to learn to fly WELL!
We have been able to grow the “simulator business” by adding the Piper J3 Cub and a well-equipped Cessna 172. Both of which are available for flight instruction and rental. The J3 Cub is a legendary airplane that helps pilots t
o build their “stick-and-rudder” skills. It is the best way for pilots, of all skill levels, to learn how to really fly an airplane. It is very hard not to have a smile from ear to ear after completing any training flight in the Cub. The Cessna 172 combines a standard trainer with some of the most advanced equipment available. The Cessna 172 is a great way for pilots to take what they have learned in the simulator and apply that knowledge directly to the airplane. It is truly a one-of-a-kind Cessna.
As we continue to grow as a business, we plan to work with the flying community to offer services and training that is beneficial to our valued customers. It is important that we keep our high standards of training and fill the need of our customers and future aviators.
Fly Safe!
